Eastern Avenue, Thurrock
Evoke produced a Transport Note for the proposed reconfiguration of the existing car parking at a former DHL site at 12 Eastern Avenue in Thurrock. The site was previously provided with predominantly HGV parking spaces with limited staff car parking, given the former DHL use.
The meal box providers Gousto planned to occupy the site, employing in the region of 800 employees at the site. To accommodate the new occupiers requirements, the application proposed to reconfigure and alter the existing car park to reduce the number of large HGV parking bays and provide a greater level of staff and visitor car park spaces and provide on-site cycle parking.
A Transport Note was produced by Evoke to justify the increased car parking provision on site. The application was approved in April 2021. Following the decision, Evoke produced a Travel Plan to discharge condition 5 of the decision notice to promote more sustainable travel choices for staff and visitors. The condition was successfully discharged in September 2021.
Gousto have now occupied the building and are operating from the site.
