Adur Garage Sites
Evoke produced Transport Notes for the redevelopment of 10 garage sites within Adur and Worthing Councils ownership within Shoreham, Lancing and Portslade to provide residential developments as part of the councils "Hidden Homes" scheme. The majority of the garages were sub-standard in size for the parking of modern vehicles, with a large proportion not used for parking or lying vacant and in a poor state of repair.
A pre-scoping note was submitted to WSCC followed by Transport Notes produced for the 10 sites. The reports were supported by parking survey data to establish the amount of parking that is available within an area to the general public. As part of each of the redevelopments Evoke advised on the right balance between new development and replacement parking to help maximise the development potential without resulting in overspill parking issues as a result of the garages being redeveloped. The applications are currently pending consideration.
